Betty Pladna's Obituary
Betty Lane Pladna, 84, of Olive Branch, Illinois, formerly of Clinton, died Thursday, August 26, 2010 at her home. Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Lefebre, Craig Lefebre, Brian Conzett, Mike, Mark and Steve Jacbos. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Betty Lane Vaughn was born on November 13, 1925 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Lawrence and Florence (Hartson) Vaughn. She married Joel D. Pladna on March 3, 1962 in Maquoketa, Iowa, he preceded her in death on September 18, 1999. Survivors include three sons: Joseph (Dawn) Gould of Spokane, Washington, David (Pamela) Pladna of Olive Branch, Illinois, Randy Pladna of Middleton, Ohio; two daughters: Bettyann (Mark) Samuelson of Belpre, Ohio, and Marilyn Lang of Moline, Illinois; one brother Melvin Vaughn of Phoenix, Arizona and two sisters: Marjorie (Howard) Jacobs of Grand Mound, Iowa, and Barbara (Robert) Carpenter of Albany, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son: Larry Olin. Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
