Betty Ann Nissen, 86, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Eagle Point Nursing Home, Clinton. Per Betty’s wishes, there will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place at Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting snellzornig.com.
Betty Ann Strating was born February 17, 1935 in Whiteside County, Illinois, the daughter of John and Anna (Pessman) Strating. Betty married Delbert Vernon Nissen January 29, 1954 in Bowling Green, MO.
Betty was a homemaker and had been employed at the Clinton Garment Factory.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Clinton.
Survivors include her husband, Delbert of Clinton, IA; children, Kenneth (Sue) Nissen of Camanche, IA; Annette Callahan of Denver, CO and Penny (Dwayne) Geronzin of Clinton, IA and; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, sisters, Barbara Fetterolf and Evelyn (Dale) Hanson both of Illinois; brothers-in-law, Gene Voss and Neil Decker both of Illinois and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Adele Nissen; sisters, Beverly Voss, Ilene Snyder and Irma Decker and brothers-in-law, Berkley Fetterolf and Dayle Snyder.
