Betty Jane Goodell's Obituary
Betty Jane Goodell, 85, of Clinton, IA, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the Alverno. Services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 3 to 7 PM, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rob and Tim Welton, Adam Knepper, Cyril Cave, and Kenneth and Ryan Jargo.

Betty was born September 17, 1928 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Horace and Helen (Dannatt) King. She married Robert F. Goodell on June 15, 1947 in Clinton, Iowa.
Betty Jane had been employed as a supervisor at Jim Walter Window Components for many years. The things that brought her the greatest pleasures in life were her family, bird watching and gardening with her good friend Jeanne.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Robert of Clinton; daughters, Deborah (Michael) Welton of Olathe, KS and Teresa (Kenny) Grimm of Goose Lake, IA; grandchildren, Rob (Ashlee) Welton, Tim Welton and Anna (Adam) Knepper; great-grandchildren, Joey and Dexter Welton and Chloe Jane Knepper and her sister, Marlene Goodman of Las Vegas, NV.
Betty Jane was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.
Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
