Beth A. Bowen, 73, of Albany passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at MercyOne Medical Center - Clinton.

Beth Ann Wiersema was born September 15, 1949 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Dwight “Whitey” and Mildred “Milly” (Schroeder) Wiersema. She was a 1967 graduate of Fulton High School and attended Clinton Community College for one year. She married Terrel Bowen on December 30, 1972 in Albany, Illinois; they just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Beth worked at Nielsen’s Clearing House for many years, will be remembered for her time as the receptionist at All Pets in Clinton, and enjoyed the time she spent as a stay at home mom. She loved to spend time with her family and her animals but mostly she loved being a Grandma and watching her grandchildren compete in sports.
She is survived by her husband Terry Bowen of Albany; two children: Tara (Dave) Read of Fulton and Brad (Elise) Bowen of Fulton; four grandchildren: Ava, Brady, Jessa and Anson; one sister: Nancy (Dan) Hartman of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
