Berniece A. Arvidson's Obituary
Berniece A. Arvidson, 95, of Clinton, passed away, Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Alverno.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Wall, Brian Wall, Kenneth Goodsman, Kyle Goodsman, Thomas Goodsman, and Doug Farley. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Robert Goodsman, Charles Goodsman, Keith Goodsman, Ronald Goodsman, and Donald Beard. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00am to the service time at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.
Berniece Alma Goodsman was born on March 9, 1920 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Harold and Martha (Thoms) Goodsman. She was a 1938 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Lester Wall on March 8, 1941 in Clinton, she later married Kurt Arvidson on December 12, 1952; he later died on January 8, 1984.
Berniece worked at the Clinton Country Club and for Clinton Corn working on the Idler; she retired in 1972. She was a life member of Zion Lutheran Church where she enjoyed helping with the Sauerkraut Supper and quilting.
Berniece is survived by her son: Wayne (Gloria) Wall of Clinton, her daughter: Debra (Robert) Witt of Clinton; 3 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two granddaughters, three brothers, and one sister.
Memorials can be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
