Bernice C. Weideman's Obituary
Bernice C. Weideman, 89, of Clinton passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026 at her home.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 am, Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church - Clinton. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Weideman, Mary Weideman, Chloe Weideman, Eli Weideman, Kayleigh Rodgers and Mike Kroemer. Honorary pallbearer will be Tom Crider . Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Bernice Catherine Michel was born August 2, 1936 in Preston, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Rosa (Mootz) Michel. She attended Preston School. She married Fred A. Weideman, Jr. on August 2, 1954 in Maquoketa, Iowa; he preceded her in death on June 30, 2018.
Bernice was a homemaker and did some business secretarial work for the family business. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish in Clinton where she enjoyed attending mass and many church functions. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and treasured her weekly lunch dates with her friends. She loved the outdoors and tending to her flower garden.
She is survived by her two sons: Kenneth (Amber) Weideman of Davenport and Steve Weideman of Clinton; three grandchildren: Kenneth Weideman, Jr., Thomas Weideman and Mary Weideman; three great grandchildren: Eli and Chloe Weideman and Kayleigh Rodgers; siblings: Lucy Harrison of Clinton, Helma Cronk of Clinton and Julius Michel of Grand Mound, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters and two brothers.
