Barbara J. Koehler's Obituary
Barbara J. Koehler, 91, of Savanna, Illinois passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at MercyOne in Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, March 28, 2026 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Judd LaBarr, Bradley Huizenga, Drew Hake, Darron Hake, Mike Minssen and Brian Huizenga. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service time at the funeral home. Barbara Jane Anderson was born November 13, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of George O. and Marie W. (Firgens) Anderson. She was a 1952 graduate of Clinton High School. She worked as a school cook at Elijah Buell for 30 years and at Washington Elementary prior to that. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, puzzles, and watching NASCAR, more than anything she loved time spent with her family especially her grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her three children: Karin (Carl) Minssen of Fulton, Keith (Kelly) Koehler of Marshfield, Wisconsin and Ken (Sue) Koehler of Savanna, Illinois; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and sister Carol Holesinger of Dubuque, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Kay Hake.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clinton Humane Society.
