Austin James Stoltz was born at the University of Iowa Hospitals on September 30th, 1989, coming into the world at 3.5 lbs., but that never slowed him down. From an early age he showed a love of the outdoors and being a gearhead. His mentor, David Evers, taught him how to hunt, fish and trap while showing respect for the laws, nature and people's property. In 2000 Austin won the Iowa Young Trapper of the Year Award. He grew up in Camanche and graduated from Camanche High School in 2008. On October 15th, 2016, Austin married the love of his life, Elizabeth (Beth) Bengtson. They have two fur babies, Reese, his constant companion and their cat Elle.
Austin was currently working at 3M. He was also working with Kody Welch to expand the Blue Cord Waterfowl Guide Service to Blue Cord Waterfowl and Marine. In his spare time Austin loved to run RC cars, race and play games online, hunt, fish, boat, and spend time with friends at the campground. His true passion was snowmobiling.
Austin is survived and will be dearly missed by his loving wife Beth, his mother, Boni Hugunin (John Grau), his father, Bill Stoltz, his half sister Becky Bedrosian(the late Arman Bedrosian) and children, his half brother, Todd Stoltz and family, his in-laws Doug and Melanie Bengtson, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and great friends.
