Artie J. Seeser's Obituary
Arthera Joan “Artie” Seeser, 86, of Camanche, IA, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Park Vista, Camanche. Services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 1st Baptist Church, Clinton. Visitation will be held from 9:00AM until the service hour Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Snell-Zornig is assisting the family with arrangements. Artie was born December 1, 1937 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur John and Jane Catherine (Putman) Thomsen. She was a Clinton High School graduate. Artie married Jack M. Seeser December 2, 1956 at the 1st Baptist Church, Camanche, Iowa; Jack died March 1, 2006.
Artie was employed at Clinton Feed and Grain and Eastern Iowa Grain and Propane for many years.
Artie was a member of the 1st Baptist Church, Clinton and former member of the 1st Baptist Church Camanche, she was a member of the Fulton Country Club where she had a hole-in-one, she loved golf and bowling, traveling, shopping at Von Maur and going out to eat with her friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Jane and her husband Dave Willis of Camanche, IA; sons, Brent and his wife Paulette Seeser of Clinton, IA and Randy Seeser of Camanche, IA; grandchildren, Paige, Brooke and her husband, John Gunderson and Brenna Seeser, Christopher Kramer and Erin Draper; great grandsons, Payton and Pierson Draper; and her sister-in-law, Sharon Thomsen of Camanche, IA.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Thomsen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the 1st Baptist Church, Clinton or 1st Baptist Church, Camanche.
