Arthur Johnson's Obituary
Arthur L. Johnson, 80, of Low Moor, died Friday at Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton.
Funeral Services will be 1:30pm, Monday, October 29, 2007 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Christine Minor-Heilig officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Dale Smith, Jim Paasch, Steve Johnson, Bill Allen, and Curt Allen. Visitation will be from 12:30pm to the service time at the funeral home.
Arthur Lewis Johnson was born on October 9, 1927 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Arthur and Florence (Peters) Johnson. He married Shirley A. Tucker on December 17, 1960 in Fulton, Illinois.
He was a 1945 graduate of Elvira High School. He served in the United States Army from 1953-1954.
He farmed in the Low Moor area until retiring in 1987. He was a member of St. Paul?s Lutheran Church and a member of the Clinton Moose Lodge #363.
Arthur is survived by his wife: Shirley of DeWitt, Iowa; one daughter: Linda (Dale) Smith of Camanche, Iowa; one son: Steven (Cathy) Johnson of Camanche, Iowa; one granddaughter: Jennifer (Jason) Hansen of Phoenix, Arizona; and two great-grandchildren: Tyler and Alexis Hansen.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter: Elizabeth and one brother: Lawrence.
