Arlo Bock's Obituary
Arlo J. Bock, 86, of Clinton, died Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus, Clinton. Funeral Services will be 9:00am, Monday, November 8, 2010 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Jost, Bill Hyde, Ken Hoogheem, Dan Watters, Brent Sterk, and Edward Sterk. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-5:00pm at the funeral home. Arlo Justus Bock was born on May 23, 1924 in Bryant, Iowa, the son of Justus and Carrie (Naeve) Bock. He married Mary Jane Hansen on July 21, 1972. Arlo attended Miles High School. He was a truck driver with Dohrn Trucking for 34 years and employed with McEleney’s for 16 years. Arlo loved to play golf, play cards, and enjoyed spending time with his family especially his children and grandchildren. Arlo is survived by his wife: Mary Jane of Clinton; one son: Tom (Julie) Bock of Big Lake, Minnesota; four daughters: Nancy (Jim) Cherry of Walford, Iowa, Dawn (Mike) Vicks of Clinton, Kristi (Richard) Johannsen of Clinton, and Lisa Leslie of Clinton; 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Arlo is preceded in death by his parents and one brother. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family to be divided to various favorite charities of their choice.
