Arlene Dorothy Dietrick Pawlik, (aka Bootsie, aka Grandma BooBoo) 84, of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, July 20, 2023.
A Memorial Service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday July 29th at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting her obituary at (http://www.snellzornig.com/).
Arlene Pawlik was born January 08, 1939 ( she loved that she shared a birthday with Elvis) in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Wilbur and Dorothy (Conover) Dietrick. Arlene married Taduesz Pawlik on March 23, 1957 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Arlene worked at the Clinton Parks and Rec for many years as the keeper of the sprinklers and restrooms at the South Clinton Park. She loved living in South Clinton and being the mother to all South Clinton children. Arlene was the babysitter of many many children throughout her lifetime. She worked at PFC, and was a bookkeeper for TOPs.
Arlene had a deep well of random trivia that she would share with everyone. The true meaning to knowing a little about a lot of things. She was the grammar police and would stop you mid-sentence to correct you. She was a member of the former Riverside Presbyterian Church and First Presbyterian Church in Clinton.
Arlene is survived by three daughters: Christina (Moease Knox) Pawlik of Camanche, Teresa (Tim) Trettin of Camanche, and Amy (Nick) Smith of Clinton ; one son Brian (Sharon) Pawlik of Clinton; Grandson Brandon Pawlik, Grandson Jeffrey(Lyndsi)Pawlik with great granddaughter Hailie and Nicole and great grandson Xavier, Grandson Daniel (Cara) Vosatka with great granddaughter Rachel, Grandson Nathaniel (Stacy) Knox with great granddaughters Jharia and Londyn, Grandson Larry (Chelsey) Robb with great grandsons Aidan and Emmett, Grandson Lorenzo Robb with great granddaughters Brooklynn and Mila. Arlene was also survived by many Step grand and great grandchildren who she loved dearly. A Daughter from another mother Junee Cortes and two sisters Carol(Don)Hyde, Monica Dietrick and one brother Mike Dietrick. Arlene was blessed to have two very special care givers that not only cared for Mom but she came to love, Lea Riesselman and Carrie Caldwell. There are many more loved ones who have been blessed with knowing and loving Arlene throughout her lifetime.
Arlene is preceded in death by her husband Tadeusz, her parents, one brother Robert, and two sisters Judy and Sandra. And one great grandson Amias Tremayne Knox.
