Anna Miller's Obituary
Anna Marie Lehmkuhl was born on December 23, 1937 in Maquoketa, Iowa, the daughter of Ernest and Rose (Sterbenz) Lehmkuhl. She was a graduate of Maquoketa High School. She married Leon Miller on August 25, 1962 in North Liberty, Iowa; he died January 17, 2013.
Anna was a homemaker and a home typist for Nielsens and PFC. She was a member of Church of the Visitation and the YWCA. She enjoyed traveling with Leon and camping in the 5th wheel. Especially during the cold months. She enjoyed sewing, crochet and knitting. Baking was also a favorite hobby. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her new puppy Bobby. She was loved very much and will be missed by her entire family.
Anna is survived by her daughter: Terri (Bill) Vanderpool of Pleasant Hill; two grandsons: Jon (Sam Grant) of Waterloo and Jared Jewell of Des Moines; two great-grandchildren: Adalynn Jewell and Adam Jewell. Siblings: Lois (Jim) Harman of Camanche, Helen Kay Davis of Garden Grove California, Hank (Bonnie) Lehmkuhl of Camanche, Arnold Lehmkuhl of Folletts, and Dale (Lavonne) Lehmkuhl of Camanche. And numerous nieces and nephews.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband Leon, her sister Laura Null and her parents. Memorials can be made to the family.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Friday, June 28, 2024, at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jon Jewell, Jared Jewell, Kevin Lehmkuhl, Chad Lehmkuhl. Visitation will be from 9:00am to the service time at the funeral home.
