Anna Fugate's Obituary
Anna M. Fugate, 92, of De Witt, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at her home. Cremation rites have been accorded at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 17, 2009 at 6:30 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1100 11th Ave North, Clinton. Anna Mary Wernick was born on February 25, 1917 in Clinton, the daughter of Wesley and Mary (Myers) Wernick. She married Howard Fugate on July 7, 1931 in Clinton; he died on June 26, 1980. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She is survived by 2 daughters: Connie Gee of DeWitt, and Phylis Fugate of Blackhawk, SD; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 16 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Howard, she was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters, 5 brothers, one grandson, one great grandson, and 2 sons in law.
