Shar, Charlie and all Anita's family,
Anita's death brings great sadness but at the same time brings lots of loving memories as we all got to know her over the past ten years when she visited her loving daughter and husband, Shar and Charlie, in Peachtee City. She always had a smile and brought great warmth and kindness to all she met. We enjoyed her stories which were filled with wisdom and spiced with a clever and unique wit. It is easy to see that she passed that wonderful part of her personality on to her daughter and, for that, we are thankful. The "girls" learned early on that Anita enjoyed playing cards, so we always tried to set aside a special evening for that fun time with her. We learned quickly that Anita was "sharp as a tack" and could hold her own in any card game so we had to really pay attention when it came to her. She won most of the time anyway!
Anita was so caring, thoughtful and loving. It was evident that she loved her family but she shared that with those around her as well. She always remembered to send cards and write notes straight from her heart especially during times of illness. The cards that I received during those times hold a special place in my heart.
We know that Anita's chronic illness brought her tremendous pain and suffering for the past couple years but we also know that she looked her illness straight in the eye and suffered it with grace and dignity knowing that she had a home with her Maker in the end. We are thankful that she went peacefully into the night without much further suffering. We are thankful that she got to talk to her family and know they were there with and for her before she passed. We are thankful for Anita, her full and well lived life and the memories she left behind. She lives forever in our hearts.
My God bless and comfort all Anita's family during this time of intense grief and sorrow.
In Loving Memory,
Joyce and Mickey Jones
