Andrew P. Olson, 84, of Thomson, Illinois, passed away, Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Addington Place – Clinton.
Memorial Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2025, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with a memorial visitation from 1 p.m. to service time. The Olson family was locally served by Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory – Clinton, Iowa.
Andrew Peter Olson was born on October 27, 1941 in Mauston, Wisconsin the son of Max and Mildred (Meng) Olson. He was a 1959 graduate of Mauston High School. He married Pamela Scott on April 3, 1993 in Byron, Illinois.
Andrew was an over the road truck driver starting with Briggs Trucking in Rockford and later retired from Holland America in 1999. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 325.
Andrew loved traveling all over the world with his wife Pam. They enjoyed camping in their motorhome and wintered in Florida for many years. He was an avid boater and sang in the Rockford Barber Shoppers.
Andrew is survived by his wife: Pam of Thomson; four children: Charlene Rieffer of Machesney Park, Illinois, Michelle McKee of Loves Park, Illinois, Yvonne DeLaPaz of Rockford, and Andrew Scott Olson of Rockford; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a step-son: Ryan (Cindy) Ellett of Savanna, Illinois, and four step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son: Timothy Robert; a granddaughter: Laci; and three brothers.
