Aluren Mueller's Obituary
Aluren H. Mueller, 99, of Clinton, died Monday, April 13, 2009 at Eagle Point Nursing Home in Clinton, Iowa.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the Clinton Snell-Zornig Chapel with Rev. Fred Schauer officiating. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to the service time at the funeral home.
Aluren Hope Slaughter was born August 29, 1909 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Mildred (Goddard) Slaughter. She married Paul H. Mueller on July 12, 1936 in Clinton; he died May 13, 1981.
Aluren was a 1927 graduate of Clinton High School. Aluren owned her own floral shop: Flower Nook during World War II, and she worked several years for Bather Floral Shop in Clinton, Iowa. She enjoyed knitting and flowers.
Aluren was a member of Chancy Lutheran Church in Clinton.
Aluren is survived by her three nieces: Sally Starbuck of Clinton, Iowa, Becky Strube of Centerville, Iowa and Jance Simpson of Palmyra, Indiana.
Aluren was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents and two sisters.
Memorials may be made to Chancy Lutheran Church.
