Allen Marsh's Obituary
Allen H. Marsh, 78, of Camanche, IA, died Monday, June 9, 2008 at his home in Camanche, IA. Services will be held at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, June 13, 2008 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be held at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig on Thursday, June 12, 2008 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Allen was born on June 30, 1929, in Fairfield, IA, the son of Charles A. and Cassie (Clark) Marsh. He was a 1947 Springfield, MN High School graduate and received his degree from the University of Iowa. He was a United States Navy Korean War veteran. He married Delores Cotton on February 12, 1956 in Boone, Iowa; she died November 21, 2002. Allen was employed as an x-ray technician for more than 29 years at Medical Associates retiring as supervisor.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Clinton, was an avid sportsman, enjoyed gardening and loved his dog.
Survivors include his daughter, Lynn (Kevin L.) Wilson of Anahuac, TX; son, Kevin C. (Ruth E.) Marsh Sr. of Clinton, IA; granddaughter, Andrea Meese; grandsons, Kevin C. Wilson, Christian A. Marsh, Kevin C. Marsh, Jr. and Nathan P. Marsh; great-grandchildren, Zachary and Matthew Meese; and sisters, Marceline Marsh and Donna Jean Skipton both of Wapello, Iowa. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be made to Make A Wish or to the American Cancer Society.
