Alexa Marley's Obituary
Alexa Nicolle Ellen Marley, 22, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away on August 29, 2023, in Clinton, Iowa.
She was born on August 28, 2001, in Sterling, Illinois to Krista (Elifritz) and Timothy Marley. Alexa attended Clinton Community Schools, and she worked at Subway.
Alexa loved her children wholeheartedly and cherished every moment spent with them. She was hardworking, loved to have fun, and just loved life.
Her memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and love shared by those she touched. She will forever be remembered as a shining light, a guiding star, and the fun-loving crazy person she was.
Alexa is survived by her two sons, Jaqkson and Ashton Melvin, children’s father Joshuwa Leab, mother, Krista Behrendt, all of Clinton, Iowa, her father, Timothy Marley, (Jennifer Lorenz), of Sterling, Illinois. She is also survived by her sisters, Annah Marley of Clinton, Iowa, Harper Lorenz-Marley, and Sadie Ballard, both of Sterling, Illinois, and her brothers, Austin Marley of Clinton, Iowa, Jordan Lorenz-Marley, Camdyn Lorenz-Marley, and Braidyn Lorenz, all of Sterling, Illinois. Maternal grandmother, Kathy (Donald) McCartney of Thomson, Illinois. Paternal grandmother, Linda (Dennis) Pennell of Rock Falls, Illinois. Step-father, George Kramer III of Tipton, Iowa. Her sister by choice, Saydee Romo of Clinton, Iowa. Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by; her maternal grandfather, Rick Stewart, paternal grandmother, Marianne Lorenz, her paternal great-grandmother, LaVerne Minson, and two uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Thursday, September 14th, 4pm-6pm at Eagle Point Lodge in Clinton, Iowa. Snell-Zornig Funeral Home assisted the family with the cremation. Memorials may be made to the family.
