Alex Westenfelt's Obituary
Alex Westenfelt, 25, of Grand Mound passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at his home.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Monday, August 1, 2022 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Kellar Burden, Joshua Johnson, Eric Johnson, Austin Smith, Jacob Oakley, and Dalton Kuhlman. Serving as honorary pallbearers Wayne Johnson and Kevin Johnson. Visitation will be from 9:30am to the service time at the funeral home on Monday.
Alex Alen Lee Westenfelt was born December 3, 1996 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Trent Westenfelt and Jennifer Proud. He was a 2015 graduate of Easten Valley High School. He worked for Guardian Glass as a glass cutter. He enjoyed time spent with his family, traveling, was very interested in politics and loved to cook.
Alex is survived by his father: Trent (Darla Hoerner) Westenfelt of Grand Mound; mother: Jennifer (Sonny Grimes) Proud of Clinton; brother Kellar Burden of Fulton; paternal grandparents: Terry and Marcella Westenfelt of Camanche; maternal grandfather: Anthony Lee Proud of Savanna; three aunts Samantha (Joseph Burridge) Jewell of Clinton, Tabatha Proud of Clinton and Tanya Smith of Wisconsin who is also his godmother; uncle Wayne Johnson of Clinton; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother Kathy Stearns, aunt Betty Johnson and great grandparents Otto and Irene Fink.
Memorial may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
