Alan D. Mills' Obituary
Alan D. Mills, 77, of Clinton passed away Friday, March 1, 2024 at Eagle Point Health Care Facility.
Funeral Services will be 1:30 pm, Thursday, March 7, 2024 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Alan D. Mills was born August 1,1946 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Donald and Doris (Palsgrove) Mills. He was a 1964 graduate of Clinton High School and enjoyed the marching band and basketball. Alan worked for Champion Packages and did odd jobs for Pathways. Alan was a perfectly gentle man with a kind smile, tender soul and precise penmanship. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Alan loved listening to pop and classic rock music. He favored music of the 60’s and 70’s, especially the Beatles.
He is survived by his cousin Angela Ahrens of DeWitt and other relatives and family friend Melissa Peterson. The staff of Compassus Hospice and Eagle Point provided a source of support in Alan’s final days and are much appreciated.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Fred.
