To Sharon and Janet and all your sibs: Just reading though obits and see what a long and wonderful life your Dad experienced. Sending deepest sympathy. Sure remember the neighborhood as we (brother, Rich, Ed Doyle and I, walked to church and to school pass your street down 8th ave. so. My condolences to you all on the passing of your dad and grandfather. I have many fond memories of time spent at your house, climbing the apple tree in the back yard, watching TV in that huge family room, or playing pool in the basement. Your dad and mom were always warm and welcoming to neighborhood kids hanging around. I can still see your dad burning the trash out back in the alley or hitching up the boat at the side of the house. At 99 years, he had a good, long life. How fortunate for all of you to have had him in your lives for so long.

My sincere sympathy to the Trine family. Norb Trine was a great next-door neighbor on S 9th St! He loved his family and was so proud of each of his children. I still remember the day the boys won the Little League championship--Norb pulled in his driveway, the kids piled out of the car, and Norb proclaimed, for the whole neighborhood to hear: "City Champions!" My brothers and I will always have fond memories of Norb--he has touched so many lives!
