Deepest sympathy!
Good man and Professional! He was a wonderful asset to our profession.
Dear Sharon,
Our sincere sympathy to you on Max's death. We will remember his patience with golf lessons and his sense of humor. He needed a sense of humor to give us golf lessons!
Betty and Bill
My sympathies to Sharon and family. Played lots of golf with Max at Vencker and the Ames Country Club, he gave me some square to square lessons. Still using this. He bought his home through me when he moved to Ames.
A very difficult time in our lives. Ed Hendrickson
Max was the man who introduced me to the game of golf in1971 as a 7 year old @ ames golf & cc. I went on to win numerous junior tournaments, team state championship at ames high, and went on to play golf in college at the division 1 level.
I am currently a PGA class A professional, and have been for 22 years.
I saw Max a few years ago in Ames, and had a few minute conversation. It was a thrill for me to tell him what he has done for me.
I think of him often and wanted his family to know how much he has influenced my life.
WE'LL MISS YOU MAXIE, HOLD THAT TEE TIME UP THERE. YOUR PAL

Sharon,
So sorry to hear the news of Max's passing.
Jane and I wish to express our sympathy to you and the rest of your family.
I will always have fond memories of Max whether it be his great stories or him helping me with my golf game.
Had hoped to get back for the visitation but our schedules just wouldn't allow.
Take care
Steve & Jane Reilly
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
My prayers are with you.
Always remember the good times during the Clinton CC Pro-Member tournaments. Max, Sharon, and the members were always such great hosts!
