If I had a choice, I would want to have had the special ability that Candy had to always be able to find a reason to laugh, or to at least see the brighter side of a difficult situation or frustration.
Whenever I spoke to Candy about anything that was bothering me, I had a different perspective by the time she was done discussing it with me. Her ability to inject humor into every situation was an inspiration. It was one of the many gifts she had as a fun-loving friend.
If I had a choice, I would want to have had this gift throughout my lifetime, so that people would be able to remember me the same way I will remember Candy. I'm a better person for having known her.
I am one of many who will truly miss Candy's presence, and the spirit she brought to any crowd, large or small. On the bright side, I am blessed to know that one day I will see you again Candy, and experience the fortune of what you endlessly offered for free...your humor, your magnetic personality, and your friendship.
