Velma L. Frame, 93, of Clinton passed away, Friday, June 18, 2021 at West Wing Place – DeWitt. Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00am to the service time at the funeral home. Velma LaVerle Jessen was born on November 23, 1927 in Low Moor, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Evelyn (Walrod) Jessen. She was a 1944 graduate at Clinton High School. She married James Frame on May 9, 1948 in Low Moor, died April 28, 1987. Velma was a secretary in the radiology department at Jane Lamb Hospital. She also worked at Clinton Corn and the Job Corps. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church – Clinton, co-chairman of the Peace Circle, Clinton Art Association, and was a former member and past noble Grand of the Low Moor Rebekah Lodge. She was also active in the publication of the 1976 Clinton County History Book. She enjoyed traveling and attending theater and concerts. Velma is survived by her two sons: Tim (Debra) Frame of DeWitt, Iowa, and David (Renae) Frame of Clinton, 5 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother. Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church or the Clinton Art Association.
