Susan Sirvid

July 11, 1953 - March 29, 2022

Susan “Sue” Sirvid, 68, of Clinton, passed away, Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the Garden’s Nursing Home – Cedar Rapids, Iowa surrounded by her daughters. A Celebration of Sue’s life will be Noon, Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Visitation will be from 10:00am to the service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Susan Jo Witt was born on July 11, 1953 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Charles E. and Mary Jo (Krebs) Witt. She was a 1971 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Stanley “Chuck” Sirvid, Jr. on January 25, 1975, he passed away November 15, 2018. Sue was employed at the Garment Factory, Eagles Supermarket, and retired from Clausen Companies. Sue enjoyed bowling, bike riding, playing cards, and sewing. She also loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Sue is survived by two daughters: Kathy (Scott) Parker of Cedar Rapids, and Sandy (Nathan) Twedt of Kouts, Indiana; 5 grandchildren: Jenna, Sydney, Alyssa, Kennedy, and Benjamin; her mother: Mary Jo Witt of Clinton; her brother: James (Andrea) Witt; two sisters-in-law: Nancy (Steve) Bromley of Clinton, and Linda (Tom) Newbanks of Marion, Iowa and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her father. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in support of the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center to the University of Iowa Center for Advancement, P.O. Box 4550, Iowa City, IA 52244-4550.
