One D. Kennedy, 87, of Clinton formerly of Porter, Texas passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics - Iowa City, Iowa. Private family burial will be in the Houston VA National Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Ona Delilah Barrow was born November 25, 1934 in Lucedale, Mississippi, the daughter of Shelby and Ola Mae (Langley) Barrow. She married Frank Kennedy on August 17, 1952 in Delhi, Louisiana; he preceded her in death September 1, 2013. She was a graduate of Delhi High School. She worked in Civil Service as an inventory control clerk. Ona enjoyed cooking and feeding people, traveling and loved her work that she did with her church. She and her husband were proud of and helped raise 32 foster children. Above all things she enjoyed time spent with her family especially her grandchildren. She is survived by three children: Vickie Bonham of Clinton, Eric (Rhonda) Kennedy of Sweeney, Texas and Fred (Nina) Kennedy of Cleveland, Texas; grandchildren: Danny Crow, Jonathan Crow, Richard Teunis, Erin Kennedy and Casey Kennedy; great grandchildren: Madison Crow, William Teunis, Thorin Teunis, Isaac Barrios, Kaitlyn Crow and Zacharias Crow; siblings: Josiah (Beverly) Barrow and Glenda (Phil) Bostick; and several nieces, nephew and cousins. Ona was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Jared Teunis, two brothers and two sisters.
