Marie Christine Bromley, 95, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022 at the Alverno, Clinton. Services will be held at 2:00PM Friday, February 4, 2022 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until the service hour Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dennis Iverson, Marvin Hochstedler, Brad Godsey, Ben Harris, Mike Hartz and Tom Baughman III. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting snellzornig.com. Marie Norbeck was born November 15, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of William P. and jenny (Schneider) Norbeck. She was a 1944 graduate of St. Hubert High School, Philadelphia, PA. Marie married Corwin Wayne Bromley March 19, 1946 in Philadelphia; he died January 31, 1995. Marie had been employed as the children’s librarian with the Clinton Public Library retiring after 24 years. Marie was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, the Women of the Moose and was a lifetime member of the Clinton Humane Society. She was active with the Girl Scouts of America, was a volunteer with RSVP, and active with the Clinton Historical Society. Survivors include her daughters, Christine (Marvin) Hochstedler of Iowa City, IA and Dianna (Dennis) Iverson of Clinton, IA; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Wayne in 2016; grandchildren, Laurie and Wayne; three sisters and eight brothers.
