LuluBelle "Lou" Marie Turner

April 26, 1935 - January 22, 2022

LuluBelle (Lou) Turner, age 86, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at West Wing Nursing Home in DeWitt, lowa. As per Lou's wishes, no services will be held. After cremation, Lou will be buried at Springdale Cemetery, next to her husband Arthur E. Turner, and her son, David Joel Turner. Lou was born in Leaf River, of Ogle County Illinois, on her father's farm. Lou met the love of her life Arthur Turner in Clinton, lowa. They married June 14, 1953.Two children were born from this union, Kathy (Larry) McCaulley of Maquoketa, lowa, and David Turner, formerly of Branson, Missouri. Lou is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Larry) McCaulley, five grandchildren, Lauren McCaulley of Cedar Rapids, lowa, Cole McCaulley of Des Moines, lowa, Christin Mendoza, Michael Turner, and Jeremy Turner, all of San Antonio, Texas and three great grandchildren Trey Byre, Matthew Turner, and Gabriella Mendoza. Lou was preceded in death by both of her parents, Walter Runte, Mary Monroe, and a stepfather, Deforest Monroe; her sister, Margery Fredricksen; a brother, Karl Runte; her husband Arthur Turner, and a son, David Turner. Lou was a familiar face in Klines Department Store for many years. Lou loved traveling with the Prime Time 50 Club of Clinton National Bank. Watching her beloved LumberKings and visiting with friends in the ballpark were Lou's favorite pastimes in the summer. She was a Pink Lady and an active volunteer with the Mercy Auxilliary. Lou had a strong faith, and a great love of her country. Lou leaves us all with her belief- Life is good, and God is great! Amen. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Heartland Hospice.
