Becky L. Dann

Becky L Dann, 68 of Clinton, Iowa, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Mercy One Hospital in Clinton, after battling a long illness. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements. Cremation Rites have been accorded. Online condolences may be expressed at snellzornig.com. A family burial will take place at a later date. Becky was born October 4, 1953 in Clinton, IA, the daughter of Donald and Eunice (Platt) Dann and was a graduate of Camanche High School. She had worked many years in the Dietary Department at the Wyndcrest Nursing Home in Clinton. She had also been a bartender in the Camanche area and enjoyed socializing with friends. Becky was also active on many Pool leagues in her younger years. Becky was an excellent cook and baker and whatever she made was always delicious. Her amazing potato salad among many other dishes were always a hit at family gatherings and many potluck functions. Becky loved her family and extended family and was awesome in the babysitting department for her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and children of her many friends. She was a true gem and had a heart of pure gold. Becky enjoyed crocheting, and her specialty was making beautiful afghans. She also loved making holiday crafts along with her sister Marilyn. Becky always made little baskets of goodies each year for her grandchildren, nieces and nephews to take as treats to their Elementary classrooms. She always made Quality Time one on one with each of her grandchildren. It made them feel very special and loved a lot. Becky is survived by her daughter, Amy (Francisco) Ramirez of Clinton; six grandchildren, Mallory, Jasmine, Natalie, Madison, Alayna, and Rafael; her brother, Reynold (Renny) Dann of Clinton, a sister-in law, Cindy Schultz of Sabula and Sharon Vaske many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins. Becky was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Samuel W (Cindy) Dann, and 2 sisters, Mary I Dann and Marilyn K Dann, and a special aunt Marilyn (John) Compton.
